Publications

BICAN publications and knowledge resources provide entry points into the scientific findings, methods, and reference materials produced by the consortium. This page brings together formal publications, early preprints, resource identifiers, and protocols so that researchers can follow BICAN outputs from initial sharing through publication and reuse.
BICAN-supported research is represented in nearly 200 PubMed-indexed papers linked to BICAN-associated grants. This search provides a broad view of papers associated with the network. For curated Consortium publication packages organized around specific scientific topics, visit the Science page.   Use the button below to explore the current PubMed results.

Explore the latest science from the BICCN and BICAN communities through the dedicated BICAN channel on bioRxiv. The channel brings together preprints from across the network, providing early access to emerging findings before formal publication.

Research Resource Identifiers provide persistent, standardized references for key scientific resources, including tools, databases, standards, repositories, and model organisms. When RRIDs are included in publications and documentation, they make resource use easier to recognize, cite, and track over time.

BICCN and BICAN investigators share protocols through a public protocols.io workspace to support reuse of methods developed across brain cell atlas projects. The workspace includes more than 200 protocols contributed by consortium investigators, covering experimental methods, data generation workflows, and related resources.
